Sightseeing on a Winter’s Day in Copenhagen
November 2011Once you’re done playing in the Rundetaarn, get ready for some Danish retail therapy, and the big bonus, you won’t have to go too far. Copenhagen’s main shopping street, the Stroget is only a five minute walk away from the tower.
Stroget Pedestrian Street
Stroget, Europe’s longest shopping street, has all the biggie stores like H&M, Vero Moda, and if you’re hankering to take home some awesome Danish design, you’ll find the best of the lot here. Pay a visit to Royal Copenhagen for Danish china, Georg Jensen for silver and decorative objects, and check out tons of smaller shops selling Danish souvenirs and crafts.

I don’t like cold weather, and I can’t imagine visiting Denmark in the winter, but I’m glad you introduced the rundetarn. A tower with a ramp instead of steps. That’s my speed.
Making our rounds on the Carnival of Cities. I had never considered Copenhagen for a Girlfriends Getaway! Great post.
Great post. There are so many wonderful attractions, landmarks and fun neighborhoods to visit in Copenhagen.
