Sightseeing on a Winter’s Day in Copenhagen

November 2011

You’re in Copenhagen and it’s the middle of winter. You want to see the sights but are wondering about the wisdom of heading out in the dreaded ‘Deep Freeze’? Not to worry! We’ve put together a slideshow of some awesome things to see in the cool capital of Denmark and we made sure they were within easy walking distance to each other. So now you can spend minimal time out in the cold wet weather, and max time checking out some of the best attractions in Copenhagen.

Rosenborg Castle, Copenhagen DenmarkGood Morning Copenhagen!

Rosenborg Castle

After a leisurely breakfast (castle opens between 10 & 11 during winter) head over to Rosenborg Castle located in the center of the city. This cute little fairytale palace is a great place to hang out on a snowy morning. You can duck out of the cold and dream about living life like a royal in Denmark. The castle is relatively small and it won’t take more than a couple of hours to peruse all of the sights, just enough time to warm up your fingers and toes!

Not to be missed: the Danish Crown Jewels
