Georgia is home to an abundance of plantation homes and many of them are open as bed and breakfasts’ or inns. What we liked the most about these gorgeous old homes is that they are open to all. Twelve Oaks in Covington Georgia has a special place in our hearts because it is owned and operated by Nicole Greer who has lovely restored this gracious southern mansion.
6. Music is Everywhere in Georgia
Music can be found all over in Georgia from Augusta, the home of James Brown to the many music festivals celebrating folk, gospel, blues and rock.
7. Hollywood of the South
Walking Dead, Black Panther, Hunger Games, Ant-Man and Spider-Man are just a few of the productions filmed on location in Georgia. If you head over to Senoia Georgia you can experience all things Walking Dead since most of the tiny downtown area is the film set for this popular zombie movie.
