September 2011As Director of Pet Relations at Fairmont’s Lake Louise Resort, Marcus (his friends call him Marc) has a packed schedule, usually putting in a full day of hiking, playing fetch and napping but he is never too busy to greet two- and four-legged visitors in the front lobby of the hotel.
The two-year-old Labrador Retriever – who wears a tag engraved with his job title – has worked at the Chateau since September 2010.
Fun Facts About Marcus
- Marcus’s favorite game is fetch. His boundless energy will wear out even the most seasoned throwing arm. A selection of toys can be found in the Concierge office for Marcus. Like most dogs, his favorite part of this game is retrieving, he’ll also excellent at dropping his newly found toy, but sometimes a few extra chews are required before he says good bye to the toy.
- Like every new employee at Chateau Lake Louise, it took Mark a few weeks to get used to life at 1739 meters (5600 feet) but once he was used to the altitude, there was no holding him back. His leash speed is leisurely to brisk, serious running usually only occurs during happy naps by the fire.
